Sacramento Transgender Coalition (SacTGC) is an alliance of transgender groups wishing to strengthen the transgender community in Sacramento.

We collaborate to make changes and educate the general public about the proper terms and treatment for all transgender individuals, young and old.

Although the transgender community has gained visibility and achieved significant victories, prejudice and violence against transgender people remain all too common. Discrimination has been prohibited in several states, and some private companies, while hate crime laws in eight states have been amended to include gender identity. We will not be treated as equals as long as our entire government does not recognizes us as functional human beings.

Most importantly, we wish to educate schools, the medical community, and other organizations about our transgender youth, who need our help most of all.
